Q-ROC.TV is determined to create positive visibility for the queer community through the distribution and support of empowering and entertaining video content.
Who We Are
Q-ROC.TV is an online tv network of openly queer people working toward a world where people are not judged by their sexual orientation or gender identity. We know the valuable role media plays in shaping the perception of a community by itself and society, and aim to empower and entertain our community through positive and diverse media programming.

History
In 2007, Q Ragsdale decided to stop complaining about the lack of positive images of masculine of center lesbians in the media. For Q, wanting to see people sharing her identity in mainstream media could no longer remain a desire. Providing methods of positive visibility became a goal driving her daily living. She literally began creating the community she envisioned.
Q’s first online video series, titles, “Excuse Me Sir,” was a webumentary about masculine identified lesbians. After posting a rough cut on MySpace and YouTube, what followed was an incredible response from the lesbian community in support of Q’s efforts. This overwhelming response only drove Q to want and do more. Understanding that there are a multitude of people in the queer community, completely different from each other, and even more different than the stereotypes perpetuated in mainstream media, Q knew that she had no choice but to honor those multiple voices and identities screaming to be heard and acknowledged.
In 2010, Q created Q-ROC.TV, producing quality programming to explore the diversity of queer people and create positive visibility in the queer community. Q-ROC.TV aims to create a network that challenges the monolithic portrayal of queer community in media and is determined to create positive visibility through empowering and entertaining video content.
The Q-ROC.TV team looks forward to working with people who are passionate about supporting our efforts to uplift our community.
