I am Q-Roc…and so are you

Wow fam!! You have no idea what it has taken me to get to a point where I can write this. There was a point where I thought I wouldn’t even get this site up and running. But we’re here family!! So, why did I create Q-Roc you ask? (well really I asked because I figured you might want to know) Honestly, I got sick and tired of turning on the tv or going to the movies and only seeing stereotypical LGBT characters. In the media…masculine identified lesbians like myself are almost non-existent; all gay men are feminine; all transgender people are drag-queens and well the bisexuals only show up for sex scenes. We all know this is not how it really is. Walk down the street of any gayborhood and all the stereotypes we can think of will be broken somehow. We are all so very unique and I wanted to do something to highlight how diverse our community is. I also want to show love to all the people who aren’t on tv….all the community activists, entertainers and regular people who might otherwise go unnoticed. I am Q-Roc but so are you. To me…being queer rocks and I want to celebrate that by capturing as much LGBTQAI (and any other acronym) stuff on video as I can. This is the beginning fam so I hope you hang in there because it is sure to be a wildy interesting ride!!
Peace~
